Doctors of Space- Studio Session March 17th, 2021

Fucking Covid!!! This pandemic has not allowed us to get together and play for over 3 months. It was so great to see Martin and play again. He has finished his new double next Bass-guitar and it looks and sounds awesome. The guy is seriously talented!!! His new painting for the next DOS album also looks fantastic in person. Wow..

Anyway, I listened to OSC- The Black Tomato for the first time in years on the drive over and it still blows me away this album Wow.. Especially the title track.. Anyway, I arrived at 9:40 or so and Martin was making room for my gear in his studio. In an hour, all was set up and we had to do some tests as now the multitrack recording will have the drums mixed into the guitar and bass channels with this new looper pedal. This took a few tries to get it work but I hope we found the right balance. I mainly used the Nord Lead 2, Novation Supernova (on 4 of the jams) and Modular Synthesizer. A few times the Kaossilator pad.

We filmed everything so that if we have an amazing jam, then we can give this to Roadburn to premiere as part of the festival in one month.. What an honour. Thanks to Walter and Becky!!

This particular double album kicks ass and would take a full page but suffice it to say that they are indeed great listeners, know each others strengths and each track here has it's own vibe and direction, only known in the present moment. They open up reality to make sure they are not limited by time as to see if they can achieve some sort of collective orgasmic crescendo.
