Doctors of Space Jam Aug 6th, 2020

 It was going to be super hot today so I left for Martin’s place at 8:30 and arrived about 9:15. Listen to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath on the way over. Unloaded the gear and set up. I had my little theremin box for the first time and also the Kaossolator pad, which I had not used in a while plus the Modular, Novation Ultra and Nord lead 2.

We had 5 jams and then took a break for lunch. We tried to use midi to connect the Novation to the drum machine. This for sure worked to keep things in time but I just did not feel like the Novation sequences I put in were that good today. Martin had fixed my mixer but I was still having problems with the right and left out not giving an even signal. Was a bit of a challenge to get the mixes right for the main synths. Martin also tried just playing through the monitors and not out of the amp and we both agree this was not a good idea. We both like to hear a bit more guitar!! Martin added some bass to jams 6 and 7..

When I left (listened to E Plumbis Funk by Grand Funk) I really though that I was not performing well today and that we just did not have the magic but now that I have made some mixes and heard the tracks, we for sure had some amazing jams and I played some really cool stuff as did Martin, we just did not have the sound in the room right today to appreciate our performance. Enjoy.

My experience of the album focuses to vague hints of four riders symbol in western culture, culminating in paintings of father and son, both descended to the ultimate reality to where the four riders eventually lead us all. Though most of physical world and life in general may appear as null, there are scarcely summits of space mountains emerging from void. Momentariness of all may be only cause for meanigns and give reason to existence..Remembering Mr. Hofman when spinning this.record. Eetu Pellonpää
